Day 1 – Arrival in Switzerland

Individual arriva l at Zurich International Airport. Transfer by private limousine to the hotel. You will meet your fellow travellers as well as your tour manager at the welcome dinner.

Day 2 – Zurich to Lucerne

On your city walk the local guide will show the many aspects of the city, from the Grossmünster and Fraumünster to less known sights. In the afternoon you will arrive in Lucerne and enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

Day 3 – Excursion to Mt Rigi

Mt Rigi, the “Queen of the Alps,” features Europe’s first mountain cog-railway (1871). A round trip by boat, cog railway, and train offers great scenery. Back in Lucerne, a guided tour shows the historic sights of the city.

Day 4 – Excursion to Mt Pilatus

This is the “home mountain” of Lucerne and we will also here do a crossing of the mountain exploring both sides. The Pilatus cog railway is the steepest in the world with a gradient of up to 48 percent!

Day 5 – Lucerne to Interlaken

Time to relax in the morning. In the afternoon we board a historic railway car (1888) of the Brunig steam train. Over the Brunig Pass and along the emerald coloured Lake Brienz we will reach Interlaken.

Day 6 – Excursion to Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe

The Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe is the highest railway in Europe and leads you to the glacial world with the largest glacier of the Alps and the Ice Palace. Breathtaking view on an impressive range of mountains.

Day 7 – Lake Thun and Oberhofen castle

Visit of the castle of Oberhofen with its famous tower in the lake. Lunch on the boat where we will enjoy the beautiful landscape on the way back to Interlaken. Evening excursion with dinner on Mt Harder, stunning mountain view.

Day 8 – Interlaken to Montreux

The Golden Pass Express panoramic train brings us through a great landscape to Montreux on the Swiss Riviera. In the afternoon, we will visit the most famous castle of Switzerland, the castle of Chillon.

Day 9 – Cheese making and chocolate factory

Today’s highlight is the historic town of Gruyeres.
The cheese making of the famous Gruyeres is part of the program as well as the visit of Maison Cailler for your chocolate experience. Lean back in the Belle Epoque train.

Day 10 – Montreux to Zermatt

Through the Rhone Valley with its many vineyards we reach the largest underground lake of Europe, with crystal clear water, Lake St Leonard. Experience this natural wonder by a short boat trip before we will continue to Zermatt.

Day 11 – Excursion to Gornergrat

The best view of the Matterhorn, but also the other high peaks is from the Gornergrat. The cog railway will take us to this viewpoint amidst these giants. Afternoon at leisure to explore the car-free alpine village.

Day 12 – Zermatt to Zurich

On our way to Zurich we will visit Bern, the capital and an UNESCO World Heritage site. Another medieval city and famous for its arcades that permit weather independent sightseeing. Albert Einstein has lived here.

Day 13 – Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhein

Final excursion to the Rhine Falls, the largest in Europe. On a short cruise we will come very close to the Falls and be impressed by their power. Also we have a short visit to the scenic town of Stein am Rhein.

Day 14 – Individual Departure

It is time to say goodbye and return home with endless. A limousine is provided for your short transfer to Zurich Airport.
